I've tried out 31 escape rooms across Australia at the time of writing this review, so I think I have a pretty good feel for what makes a good escape room. I've now tried 3 of the rooms at Break the Code Plus and over all, I would rate them as a below average escape room outfit.
My favourite room of theirs is Indiana Jones, which I really enjoyed (but which wasn't without various flaws). Their Mission Stealth room wasn't as good (and they had a technical problem which ruined our experience). I completed their Avatar themed room recently and I found it really unimpressive (clunky and at times ambiguous puzzles, a lack of creativity and no wow factor to speak of). I had brought my work colleagues to this escape room outfit for a team building day and unfortunately, one of our rooms hadn't been reset correctly (they accidentally left a door unlocked, which really confused that team and ultimately ruined their experience). That kind of error really isn't good enough.
Whilst they have a couple of cool high tech puzzles or effects in some of their rooms, their theming, communication system, puzzle design and overall execution are not in the same league as the better escape room outfits in Sydney (such as Paniq Room, Enigma Room, Mission Sydey and ParaPark in my opinion).
Thanks
Scott
